Post 1969 Factory Radio Amplifier

I found this amplifer mounted to the steering column and have not found any information about it. It doesn't have any part numbers but is definetly original. It has the following color wires: yellow, yellow w/black, pink, orange, gray, and gray w/black. Here are the pictures:

Its the external amplifier/heat sink for the console mounted 8 track player, RPO U57.

Thanks for the reply. Its nice to know that my camaro had at least 1 semi rare opition at one time.(1 of 6200)

From the looks of it, it only contains the power output transistors. Most of the guts are in the unit. That's a highly serviceable part if you would choose to use or sell it.
