wiper motor rebuild

Any steps to simple wiper motor maintenance and or rebuild. My current wiper motor is slow moving and intermittent in operation.

Thanks in advance

Re: wiper motor rebuild

It is not for average guy to rebuild these. There is no maint you can do to them. Basically there is gunk (rust, caked grease) that is slowing it down. You have to take it all apart to clean it. If you dont take it apart just right, you will have trouble putting the halves back together. If you have extra ones to practice on like I did, go for it, but if it you only one, find a rebuilder or a rebuilt.
