68 radio

Looking for some help with a radio for my 68. I have read about the kenwood 3006 here in some old posts, but nobody says whether it fits? Can anyone give me some ideas about installing an aftermarket am/fm radio, such as brand/model number that will fit. I am not looking for anything fancy just something that will play music so I don't have to listen to my wife (AS MUCH). thanx. wnk.

Re: 68 radio

Better hope that your wifey doesn't read this... or you'll be paying for more than a radio!

But, have you considered a modern built up to the guts of your radio? There are several companies that will replace the old with the new, and not changing the appearance of the radio itself... just a suggestion?

It's more practical (for me anyway) to install a modern DIN unit in the glove box or trunk along with an infrared repeater. Then you can control your invisible stereo with it's remote.
