Wiper motor for 69 camaro

Hey guys, I'm looking for a different style of wiper motor for my 69. The factory motor points toward the front of the car......I don't want that one, what I want is one the points to the left side of the car. I have seen several cars with this wiper motor on them, but I can't get any of the owners to give me any idea of what it came off of.

Basically, what I'm looking for is a cleaner engine bay, and with the wiper motor that is turned sideways, it looks alot better.

Thanks for any help,

Joe

You'd need to install a seperate washer pump with this unit.

To add to DSE you can call AAW and get the wires to go thru the fuse block which makes for an even cleaner engine bay.

Mat, excellent. Not exactly what I was after, but way more plesant to look at that the factory 69 wiper motor. I just can't see spending 300 bucks on a dang wiper motor when I will never use it. If I had a choice, I would smooth the firewall and be gone with it, but I gotta have it for inspection.

Thanks for the help guys,

Joe

I like it, Mat. Do you have any details for us on the wiring and switch needed to use that?

Re: Wiper motor for 69 camaro

What about the clearance issue if you have a large power brake booster? Will it clear?

Re: Wiper motor for 69 camaro

The wiper motor with the delay control module attached will not clear a 11" booster the ones without the delay control attached will clear.

I have a newer steering column mounted wiper control on my '69 so I use the column mounted switch and delay wipers. For a '69 non delay the following will work:
yellow wire to terminal A
Lt blue to terminal B
black to terminal C
DK blue to terminal D

the motor mounts directly with the same bolts.
the arm will need to be rotated to stop in the correct position:

I cut the new and old arms and welded them together

I hope the pictures work

Re: Wiper motor for 69 camaro

I put mine under the driver's fender on my 73 Nova. I cut a new hole in the firewall and extended the linkage.

Here's a link to another person that did the same thing I did on a Camaro:
