wiring

i got a 67 camaro 396 ss car but has a 327 or 350 in it now and i want to put a new wiring harness in it for the engine and front lights.Iwanted to know sence there is the harness for a small block with gauges and a big block with gauges and im not for sure if i might put a 396 back in the car which harness to get or whats the difference in them? same with the front light harness might put hidden head lights in it but sence wasnt factory with hidden lights can i use the harness for hidden lights even if i dont put them in . thanks tom

The only difference between the engine wire harness for a big block versus a small block with gauges is the length of the temp sending wire. The big block is 30' long and the sb is 26 1/2". There is a company called AMH Electric out in California that makes harness for D&R in Illinois. Their phone number is 562-926-9552. Great Tech support. I would put in the bb harness just in case.
The light harness is a different matter. If you decide to put in the RS light package, that harness is completly different than your standard light harness, more connections for the headlight door motors, the light switch to open and close them, ground wires etc etc. Give AMH a call!!!!!!!!
