69 Camaro RS Headlight questions

Does the actual headlight switch have vacum ports on it ? The diagram I have shows a tan and a black going right to the switch, I haven't been able to see an actual headlight switch with vacum ports on it. Is there ANY electrical connections to this system or is it strictly vacum ?

Got a customer who's system worked until he took it to some shop, now we have to trouble shoot it. They put in a stereo and totally hacked the car, tied the stereo ground wire to the wire that showed ground (till you pull on the headlights then it wacks a fuse) and I am wondering if they damaged the switch doing this.

It has 2 vacuum lines and an electrical harness attached to the headlight switch.
