Mini Starter Rebuild

I needed to rebuild my Hitachi Mini Starter, but was not sure what parts to get from the local parts store. Well I got lazy and took it to a starter rebuild shop that was close by and had them do it. I was shocked to find out what parts were used. It turns out my mini starter is from a Nissan and they just change the mounting plate that goes around the gear. Has anyone else heard this?
