Power for gauge install

Ok,its a stupid question but I'm used to a 65 Beaumont that has extra spade connectors at the fuse box to run power. This 79 Camaro is, believe it or not, the newest car I've ever played with. I want to install a tach and gauges and I am wondering if there is an easy power port with ign on to power up the tach and a light port to power the lights or do I just find a wire that suits the need and splice into it (not my most perfered method).
