I finally got my horns working on my '68 SS. The problem is that when I press down on the metal center SS cap of my steering wheel I get a little shock. Any ideas as to why? Is there something missing underneath the horn cap? It's just pressed in with a rubber bushing around it.
You're missing an insulator, either the cardboard or plastic ring.
The horn cap should be insulated from the 12V + potential of the horn riser wire. You're getting ever so slightly popped b/c the circuit is finding ground, through you.
