Re: Mini-Starter question...

Yes, the mini starters work excellent!.....I was running one in a 454 equipped, 70 Chevelle SS I once had and never had any problems.....They are ideal if you're running headers also!.....Just be advised, the mini starter won't sound like your typical, stock Chevy starter while cranking!

Also, check to make sure your block has the starter mounting holes for either a staggered or straight bolt pattern starter as you can use either one.

Re: Mini-Starter question...

I've had one from a 1996 Tahoe on my 67 RS/SS 396 for about 5 years now with no promblems what so ever, if it goes I'll put another one on it, I love the way it turns my 396 over real fast.

I have one on my 468 BB. It's from Jegs and the starter is "clockable" to aid in header clearance. The Jegs part# is 10002
