If you're not worried about originality, it's top notch. Installed one in my 68 and I couldn't be happier. It's a very complete kit unlike others where you have to reuse or buy new sockets & connectors.

1968 Camaro Coupe: Forged 383, AFR heads, Edelbrock Air-Gap intake, Holley 750 dp, Dynatech headers (557 HP/543 TQ), TKO-600, 12 Bolt 3.73, Vintage Air.

Re: is this a good harnes

The kit in the OP is AAW, it's just their Classic Update. Great kit, very flexible in use of circuits. Search "Classic Update" here and you'll see lots of posts on it. Watch for sales, or talk to one of their resellers, like MuscleRodz or GPSuperStore; you can usually find it for closer to $450 shipped. AAW provides the same great tech support whether you buy direct or from a vendor.

I used AAW as well but don't recall it being $875 it is the best as far as I am concerned.

Re: is this a good harnes

I am installing an AAW Classic Update harness and would highly recommend it.

Re: is this a good harnes

Remember, AAW makes 2 harness lines.

"Factory Fit" is just like the original harness, exactly like it. you can ask for minor mods, like electronic ignition or internal reg alternator, but that's about it. Factory Fit harness are plug and play, anyone could install one.

"Classic update" is completely different wiring. More circuits, new style fuses, stuff like that. The wires are extra long for custom routing, and the (included) terminals and housing need to be installed, like for the lighting and all that. To do a good job with this, you'll want some knowledge and experience with wiring, as well as familiarity with the circuits in your car and how you might want to change or update them.

Re: is this a good harnes

thats right jim. thats the reason i bought their one like factory.875 is what i paid but i got every wire front to back & under dashlights & front harnesses for rs lights & starter wires console harness & a lot of harneses that were add ons.this is reason it was high.the other one was 500.00 but i had to crimp ends on it that is what dealer told me.i wanted all ends to look like factory & it was plug in & go.it looks just like factory only its new.
