Re: Headlights

"correct procedure"?? They make a machine. You adjust it so it fits on the 3 nubs cast into the headlights. Turn the headlights on, and the machine tells you where to adjust them.

"What works for the rest of us"? Pull the car up close to a garage door (6") Turn on the lights, and put a masking tape "X" on the door in the center of each light. Back STRAIGHT away from the door as far as you can.

Adjust the headlights so the center of the beams is "a little bit" below and to the right of the "X"s on the door.

I use to do it professionally with "gauges" that mounted on the lights and a level surface, etc. bla bla bla. But, really if you just have someone else drive you car towards you, everyone in their correct lane, it is really easy.
Most of us car guys know what they should look like. It takes some practice.
Just follow any of these procedures, then come at each other with 2 different cars, adjust, and do it again.
You will have it done today instead of trying to find someone that can do it better than you.
