Autometer or repro

I am installing the console gauges into my car
and I wondered which brand people used [There is two I have found.. OER.. and one more I forget the name of] I also need the harness, and Im not sure where to get it.

I also need to put a tach in the car... I will probably go reproduction, can anyone recommend any good brands?
I was also looking at replacing my speedometer and tach with the autometer gauges.. has anyone done that?

Id like some pics if possible..

Thanks!

I've done them both. Your loooking at a grand all said and done. Gauges and harness you can ge from Ground up. If you go factory console you need the harness. Did your car come with a console? It requires some add wiring also. OER are good. Putting the factory tach in requires a new circuit board also and some add wireing. I went with the Covans dash in the end. People have put Autometer gauges in the dash, but not me.

1968 Camaro Convertible ,350 TWIN TURBO , PTC 3000 stall, Hotchkis TVS kit / Subframe connectors, Caltracs, 9" rear, Street Star wheels (P275/40ZR17 / P235/45/17) , Electric cutouts. [B] .....FOR SALE.....

Re: Autometer or repro

Chris, what year car?

69's work very well with something like a Covans dash, and that will hold every gauge you can think of without getting into the console. I don't like the covans as much on 67-68's, the pics above show an excellent execution of a 68 gauge package!

Re: Autometer or repro

My car is a '69.
It did not originally have the console gauges, but I really like the look of them.. and I hate the 'idiot lights' I would rather have gauges.

Does anyone have a picture of the covans dash?
