Rear Power Antenna Recomendations

I currently have a rear mounted antenna on my 69 that I would like to replace with a power antenna. The current antenna works fine, but I now see why a spoiler was not an option with the rear mounted AM antenna.

Can anyone recommend a power antenna that will fit and not interfere with the rear spoiler? I have found power antennas on Ebay and from JC Whitney, but I would feel better buying one that I know will work with my Camaro.

I know your not going to belive this, But I got mine from auto zone. It is a local mass merch parts place here in Memphis. It was about 25.00. Auto zone is about the same thing as PEP Boys in your neck of the woods. Also if you JUST have to have GM I think they still elec antis Look under Buick 95 to 98 range

Re: Rear Power Antenna Recomendations

late model cadillac antennas are pretty nice and easy to mount. I like how flush they are when down, I plan to put one on my car when I am to that point.
Go walk around a U pull it junk yard and pick one out. Or i would not be against the parts store version either as long as it looked good up and down.

Dad bought his '69 'Camuchi' used '70, i started driving it in '77 at 14,gassing it up for him, he fixed it up for me in '79, now i am fixing it up/w my 3 boys & 2 girls, and Dad is looking down making sure i do it right

Re: Rear Power Antenna Recomendations

Erik, I'm putting A 67 rs/ss 4p car back together,It didnt have a spoiler on it from the factory, but I had to have one on it,and also had to have a rear power antenna on it also.I had my body man drill the hole in the factory spot then I went to O'reilly auto parts store and got one that would work on just about any thing,It could be drill for 1in or 7/8 depeding if you wanted it flush mount or it came with a bunch of different angle pieces.I angled mine back just a little, and if you were behind the car you can also ajust it side to side. so It follows your body lines front to back!
