Re: Low Fuel Light

There is not supposed to be a light bulb in the low fuel module. Each gauge has it's own bulb.

Re: Low Fuel Light

Thanks Gary, I kind of remember hearing that now, but ,where does this go ? It came with an aftermarket harness from Rick's. I am stumped because it came with it.Is the bulb a type of fuse?It has tits on the housing like it gets plugged in somewhere?

Re: Low Fuel Light

On a 67 with console guages and tach, there is a low fuel light in the speedometer on the lower right area. I suspect that a 69 might be similar.

Re: Low Fuel Light

On a 69 the low fuel light is a warning light in the dash.

Re: Low Fuel Light

Right, but no light in the module.

Re: Low Fuel Light

Yeah, that little socket is molded to the end of the low fuel warning module to keep it from rattling around in the console. It plugs into the big hole right beside the fuel terminals with no light.

Re: Low Fuel Light

I just taped mine against the back side and it sits there fine. No bulb in it, as mentioned.

Re: Low Fuel Light

The AIM doesnt show the low fuel module that I can see, but shows some wires going thru the larger hole somewhere.

Re: Low Fuel Light

OK guys, I just got off the phone with the boys at Ricks. I sent them a picture and they researched it and told me that no bulb goes in that and it tapes to the back just as Jim has it in his picture,Evidentally that same harness is used on the Corvettes and needs the bulb, but not on the Camaro. The yellow wire sends the Low Fuel signal to the Dash Indicator.
Thanks for all your help................alan
