Help! Headlight Problem

I have a 92 z28 and both of my dim lights are working but when I pull the switch to turn the brights on, none of my headlights work. Is it the switch.

Re: Help! Headlight Problem

Maybe the switch, but pull a bulb and check voltage readings to confirm that the bulb is getting power or not. Not likely that both bulbs died at once. I can't say for sure if your car has relays or not, but may have a bad relay that controls the pwr going to the high beams. Check your manual for either a fuse, or a relay location to make sure it's working.

Re: Help! Headlight Problem

well all 4 lights are supposed to come on when the brights are on and i only get one out of 4 to come on if i'm lucky but most of the time all are out when i pull the switch. And when the dims are on, the bright indicator is on the dash lights but is really dim. Is this GM's dumb way of telling you that your switch is bad?
