You may find an aftermarket one that fits also.

Let us know if you find one that fits. There's not much room under there.

I found out that in the 69 Firebirds and TA's, that the power antennas were available as a factory option, BUT they were all rear 1/4 mounted instead. If you can clear the inner fender well underneath the surface of the front fender, I don't see a problem with having a front-mounted pwr antenna too. I went with a rear 1/4 mounted powered one from a 60's Cadillac though. They are bulletproof and clean up really nicely.

Re: power retractable antenna

I put in an APC power antenna on the right rear quarter using a 15ft. extension. Works great. $75 on Summit. Ebay: TWENNY NINE DOLLA

Re: power retractable antenna

Steiner,
Was the factory hole in the rear quarter a perfect fit for the APC antenna?

I had to drill a hole. Mine was probably originally a front mount but the front fenders were replaced some time before I got it in '93 and there is no hole in either.

It takes a 16mm hole which is a little larger than 5/8".
