69 engine harness wiring help please.

Hi everyone and thanks in advance,
I have removed my MSD ignition/box and i am replacing the MSD distributor with another Electronic distributor and coil... My question is i replaced all the wiring with the stock Engine Harness and wanted to see if and what wires to the coil and solenoid don't get used, i believe its the yellow to the solenoid but not sure of the coil wires.

I've got an MSD Ignition......yellow and white resistance wire disconnected from + side of coil. Are you replacing/removing the MSD Ignition???

Those wires are disconnected when using the MSD Ignition, if you are removing it, you'll need to reconnect them. Green wire on Auto Meter Tach goes to - on coil.

OK i got it i think... Use all stock wiring on coil and solenoid plus the tack goes to the negative on the coil... Is this right.

Re: 69 engine harness wiring help please.

With an electronic distributor of any kind, you don't need the yellow wire from the starter terminal to the coil. In the OE application, it provided full 12V to the coil during starter engagement (cranking), then it would be de-energized and the coil was fed less than 12V though the resistance wire from the bulkhead connector, to keep the points from burning up prematurely. As long as you have a nice, thick (12 gage or so) feed wire (non-resistance) from the bulkhead connector to the coil positive, that's all you need.
