94 ignition switch/ wont start

Im trying to change an ignition switch on a friends camaro its a 94 v6 auto. i cant fish the red wire all the way down the column i wanted to cut the two wires and solder them the the old wires that are already down the column and solder them together but not sure which wire goes to which since they are both white. does anyone know where i could find a diagram for this. or does anyone know what they go to and if i can try one way then the other with out burning anything up.

Thanks Chad.

Cut the old wires use them to pull the new wires thru, If you already pulled the wires out
you can feed a stiff wire like "mechanics wire" thru the colum tie/tape your new wires to
and pull down thru. The white wires do not matter which is which.
