yet another 68 horn relay (maybe) issue
I have a 68 with the 1 wire alternator conversion kit from wiring harness.com. Car has run great for a year or more. I am at my 8 year olds baseball practice today (beautiful day in mississippi by the way) and I hear my key alarm start to buzz from across the field. By the time I get over to the car, the horn starts to go full blast. I disconnect both horns to get it to shut off and haul booty home.
I get home and start testing stuff. I get 14 volts across batt with the car running. Car off I get 12 volts on both terminals of the horn relay. Do i Need a new relay? Or is this somehow an issue with the horns themselves? I disconnected the batt completely till I solv e this problem.
