Re: A/C fan motor has no high speed

High speed fan power comes thru a 25 amp fuse in an inline fuse holder located in the wire gutter abvove the distributor. Check the fuse.

Ok so for future referance. My relay was not grounded. once grounded to the firewall viola all speeds work fabulous. I can now go to bed feeling as though I have accomplished something. Although its the wifes car and she thinks there are other things that need to be done in the house. but so it goes. check it off the list. Eric

ic, your post points out a great lesson check the simple things first grounds, opens, shorts before you go for the "swap till you drop method" probably all the old parts you swapped out are really still good glad its working for you now.

Good catch. I might even be tempted to overlook that since relays typically don't have grounded cases.

Re: A/C fan motor has no high speed

you know had I mounted that relay on the firewall instead of the a/c heater case it would have been a non issue but in trying for correctness I went witout high for a year. and as long as I had replaced everything else I wasn't going to short the project by reusing the old relay and the resistor was bad so no loss there. Still have old relay and I am sure the po didn't have high blower speed either. thanks guys
