Re: help wanted with RPM gage

We're talking about tachs, right. The only transistors I know of were mounted to a ceramic PCB internal to the tach (frequency to voltage converter). ARe you looking to replace a transistor on that board?

Re: help wanted with RPM gage

I have pictures of some tach internals, though I don't think they are from a 69. In any event the only transistor in the thing is a UJT and it's in a plastic case. I've seen a lot of transistors in my day and the only ceramic parts were high frequency RF types.

Can you post a picture? I have pictures of the tach guts, but no place to host them (so I can't post them).

Re: help wanted with RPM gage

Joe sent me an email stating that the supplier agreed to replace the tach at no charge. It looked like it had a big 1 Watt resistor burned up.
