68 RS Headlight Wiring Info Needed!!!

I was repairing some wiring on a customers 68 RS Camaro and without thinking I cut out all of his RS headlight wiring. I have not been able to find the diagram for the mod that was used. It has a standard relay(5 terminal) and a small black 8 terminal relay with limit switches. I have searched over and over and everything I have found is a different design. This is all I have left on this car before I can finish. If anyone could help it would be great.
Thanks,
Eric

No it doesn't. It uses to vertical style motors and no module what so ever. The motors work great. I can't seem to fiure out how to wire in the limit or stop switches. I could post some pictures if needed.
Thanks,
Eric

Re: 68 RS Headlight Wiring Info Needed!!!

Just to clarify it seems someone installed elec. motors in a 68 system. The original 68 RS cars had vacuum controlled doors.
Any way to find out what elec. conversion brand is there now?

Re: 68 RS Headlight Wiring Info Needed!!!

I spoke to the owner of the car. He is clueless. Could he have used 67 stuff? The limit switches look kinda OEM. Sorry I sound soo stupid. I can figure out most anything but this has me stumped.
Thanks,
Eric

Eric, I'll be lurking here too. My system is vacuum. But you're in very safe hands.

Re: 68 RS Headlight Wiring Info Needed!!!

Some random thoughts.
"68 used a vacuum system, so the motors were added.
The motors could be one of the following options that I know of, there may be more.
Original '67 motors.
Reproduction '67 motors.
Retro-electric motors.
DSE motors, but I believe these mount below the fender.

Some options:
Try to piece together the wires you cut out ?
If they are original '67 then you can wire it like the original '67 but you will need the relays and possibly other limit switches.
If they are reproduction '67 motors then you could use a firebird module, but the arms will need to be fixed to the shaft.
I'm not sure about the retrolectric, but you can ask them.

Re: 68 RS Headlight Wiring Info Needed!!!

Guys thanks alot for all the help but the owners brother-in-law built the setup that is on the car. It uses 67 motors with some home brewed wiring. I am suppose to get a diagram tommorow from the brother-in-law. Thanks again for all of the help.
