Door jam wiring boot?

I'm adding power door locks to my 69 and I need wiring to go through the door jams. What are you all using for a rubber boot type insulator/ protector for the wiring? I know you can get OEM ones from Rick's for $60, but I wonder if there is anything less expensive as I'm not doing a concourse resto.
Thanks,
John

So there are several ways to run wires, here is my attack for years:

I always put the wires in black heat shrink in the area of exposure.
Drill 3/8" holes in the dimple area of door and frame face.
Use rubber grommets placed in the 3/8" holes to protect wires.
Buy your grommets first and then determine the size holes you need to drill. A grommet that fits in a 3/8" hole generally has a 1/4" opening.
Since these wires are flexed during opening/closing, make sure the wire of choice is fine/stranded copper wire of sufficient guage to obtain long life service-ability.
Hope this helps
