Instrument Help!!

Ok, so I took out most of the interior to install a new carpet on my 67 ss396. I also took apart the instrument cluster, dash carrier, etc. to repaint. Everything looks great and came back together decently.

Here's my problem. My fuel gauge is stuck on fuel. When I took it out, I took plenty of pictures to make sure I put it back together properly. But now it's just stuck on full.

The other problem is that my tachometer is not working now. Everything else on the dash is working (lights, blinkers, speedo, etc.) just the tach isnt working.

Any suggestions? I would love a wiring diagram for the fuel gauge and tach if anyone has one! (1967)

when you took apart? where is the ground wire attach too? i just rewired everything and now my blinker and instrument lights dont work.
Did you check the brown wire that attaches to your coil? make sure its secure.(for your tach)

Re: Instrument Help!!

Help my confusion a lil bit with some more details.

This is a 67?

So if it had a tach, that would be in the right side of the main cluster, and the fuel gauge would be down on the console, correct?

Fuel gauge reading way past full is always an open (disconnected) sending unit circuit. The gauge has power and ground, but the sender tan wire is hanging, not making a connection somewhere.
