Removing 68 Speedo and Tach

Hey guys. I am trying to get this out. 3 top screw and 2 botttom but I cannot get it past the steering column. I know there is a trick right?

Sorry I am a newbie.

Drop the column down.

If the plastic trim is still there, 4 philips screws to get it off.
Then 3 nuts that secure the column.
Then pull down on the column hard while wigling the dash out.
As you are looking at it, the connector goes into the top right, from behind. So twist it to the left, and when you can, reach in and squeeze the ends of the connector and remove it.
