headlamp switch/knob disassembling

I want to know how to deinstall the knob from the headlamp switch => Any tipps?

My problem is that the whole lightningof the instruments failed.

Could this be a problem of the dimmer resistance (I use 5 extra gauges with lightning)

Re: headlamp switch/knob disassembling

Assuming that this is for the 69 listed in your signature, there should be a small, spring-actuated button on the switch housing (if your car is an RS, then this button will be near where the vacuum hoses connect to the switch). Simply reach under the dash and push/hold the button down while pulling the light switch knob out (like you are turning on the lights). This will release the rod and knob assembly.

Hope this helps.
