Any idea what this Voltage regulator is to GM cars

Hey guys,
I have a GM voltage regulator that is a three prong compared to the normal four. Numbers I see on the base. 12vN 4 D 1119 511

Hope someone has an idea.

Thanks so much.

Re: Any idea what this Voltage regulator is to GM cars

The only listing for that regulator (1119511 or D633) in my Delco Buyers Guide and a Delco Popular Parts Catalogue is;

1963 Tempest

I found references to it being used on 65-68 Corvair and 64-68 Tempest also, but no actual parts listing. The Corvair and later Tempest listings show them using 1119515 or D635 which is the 4 prong regulator. A Corvair or Pontiac Parts Catalogue might show more applications.

I think the 4 D is a date code translating to 1964, April. The 4th prong (which your regulator doesn't have) may be to light up a light on the dash to tell when the alternator is not charging.

The only reason someone would want insurance is if they want to pay someone elses bills or want someone else to pay their bills.
