No Turn Signals -- HELP!

I replaced my front headlight harness on my 1968 Camaro. When completed my turn signals both in the dash and the outside of the car do not work. My 4-ways work. I checked the fuse box and all seems ok. Then I replaced my flasher can and still no success. Does anyone have an idea? Could it be the the turn signal switch in the column? Or could something have come loose in the fuse box?

Re: No Turn Signals -- HELP!

check the fuse to fuse holder connections in the fusebox . if there's a bad connection there they won't work. if using a test light make sure that you check for power on both ends of the fuse holders (not the fuse)to ensure that power is going through the fuse and fuse holders.

Purple wire from the fusebox to flasher and purple from flasher to steering column connector.

Re: No Turn Signals -- HELP!

First question is did they work before you changed the front harness ? If so then I can't imagine why you would think it's a bad switch. Maybe the switch got mad that the wiring was getting all the attention ? If the wiring is all you messed with and they worked before logic tells me it's something in the wiring...

Re: No Turn Signals -- HELP!

I checked for power between the two halves of the fuse box -- power was going in but not out, but the fuse was good so I made sure the wire was plugged in. I removed the fuse and cleaned the clips or fuse mounts, reinstalled the fuse, and then the turn signals started to work. Thanks for the help.
