Question Temp sender cross-reference

Converting a dummy-light setup with a Shiftworks kit. The temp sender that came with it is 1/2" npt, hole in the head is 3/8". They recommend this one:

Small sender with different size bushings to fit the head. It's in a really tight spot (header tube is right in front of the hole, and would rather not put the sender in the intake) so I don't know if the two-piece unit would be too "tall" or not.

Does anyone know of a one-piece, OE style sender (or application)that's 3/8" npt that would make the gauge read correctly? 67 Nova, they weren't available with gauges, so I can't just have the parts guy type that into the computer.

Just ran into this today, thought I'd try here first

Thanks.

Re: Temp sender cross-reference

Dave, check the ohm readings at cold and hot to see if the values are the same. If they are, it should work, no? I have a spare for my 69 with console gauges. Let me know if you want the values. I think they were published here somewhere at some point.

Re: Temp sender cross-reference

I don't doubt that the AM sender would work with the gauge since it is recommended, I'm just asking if anyone knows of an OE-style 3/8" NPT, lower-profile (one piece) sender that would function correctly with the gauge.
