Battery cut off switch

First off, I have battery and fuel cell in the trunk. Battery cutoff switch in the back panel next to gas cap. Like prostreet cars. Anyway, it barely wanted to start, but it did. I havn't had a problem. I took it to get gas, went to start it again, and this time it wouldn't turn the motor over. It would turn on the electric pump, but just acted like bad battery.
My switch was in the half way position. I didn't know it had a half way position. Turned it all the way to on, fired right up. Is the switch going bad?

Re: Battery cut off switch

It is if you cannot 'feel' the detent for the positions. Otherwise, make a mental note of ON & OFF.
Electrically, probably not. However, when turning off the battery switch, it must 'kill' the car.

Most sanctioning race organization tech rules require a definite sign/labelling for ON & OFF.
