Lincoln Mark VIII fan wiring question
I have a wiring question.
I have a Mark VIII fan on my 69. It's been installed for about 4 years now and works great.
My fan is a 3-wire fan. I have 2 75 amp relays connected to it. One from the thermostat control; the other from the AC clutch (fan comes on with the clutch). The pigtail has three wires. I am using the outer connections as the positive from each of the relays. I am using the center as the ground. This setup has been working fine. The fan runs only at high speed.
From reading posts here on the Mark VIII fan setup, it seems that the center wire is supposed to used for low speed fan.
Does anyone have a real wiring diagragm that describes this? My setup has worked fine for 4 years so I don't think I am hurting the fan by having it wired this way. I am curious how it should really be wired.
