Courtesy/Sail Lights - How should they work?

Rewiring a 67RS with deluxe interior.. I got it with the harness out and have slowly been wiring it back together.. One thing that is not clear is how the sail panel lights, courtesy lights, door switch and headlight detents all work?

Would really appreciate any other 67 deluxe owners shedding some light on how it "should" work...

1.) Door jam switches are SPST on both doors.. Correct?

2.) Did 67RS deluxe interiors have under dash courtesy lights?

3.) Are the sail panel lights triggered by either the driver or passenger door opening? Do the headlights have to be on first before they come on?

4.) Did the sail panel lights also come on by turning the headlight switch to the first detent?

5.) Did deluxe interior have under dash courtesy, dome, and sail panel lights? Were they all tied together?

Thanks

Re: Courtesy/Sail Lights - How should they work?

1) Yes.
2) Optional. If you don't have them, add them- They are great!
3) Yes. Headlights on or off- doesn't matter.
4) Yes, by turning the switch all the way.
5) I think deluxe int got you the sail panels and no dome. That's how mine came anyway. If you have a console, also has a light at the rear of the console that works same as the sail panel lights and courtesy lights, in other words, all tied together.

If your not concerned about originality, add the dome...the sail panel lights look cool but arent really practical for reading a map or something from the front seat

Exactly! It's super dark in the front. That's why the under-dash courtesys are a must add, too. Like when you drop your cell phone on the floor and can't find it in the dark.
