1967 Camaro RS Hideaway Headlight issue

Got an issue that has arisen on the headlights. Start the car and turn the headlights on, both of them open on their own, but when I go to shut the lights off, neither of the headlight doors shut and the generator light comes on. If I go out to manually shut the doors, the generator light then goes away. Anyone have any ideas of what is going on with them?

Yikes that is weird, when was the last time the 3 relays were replaced that are under the driver fender?

Re: 1967 Camaro RS Hideaway Headlight issue

Broc, I've emailed you a schematic .pdf See page 10 of the pdf. I see you changed your car over to RS. Do you have all the factory parts? For the doors to shut, key must be on and Relay 2 must provide 12V motor power on the brown wire and Relay 3 must provide GND on the dark blue. If the gen light is coming on, I'd guess relay 2 is OK, but Relay 3 could be the culprit. Then I'd expect the circuit breaker to trip. Either you don't have GND or 12V when you need it to shut the doors.
