68 NEGATIVE Battery Cable routing

Hello All.....
I am looking for pics of 68 Camaro NEGATIVE battery cable routing.
The AIM is very poor on this.

OBVIOUSLY, the spring ring goes to the battery
The "pigtail" goes to the passenger fender
Where does the end of the Negative cable (ground) to??

I have a 350/ A/C car. I ASSUME it grounds to the A/C bracket on the passenger side somewhere BUT.....I am not sure and I want to do it correctly.

Thank You for your help on this!!

Re: 68 NEGATIVE Battery Cable routing

Hi Lane,

Are you looking at both UPC12-A4 and A5? I know it doesn't show the complete cable end to end but A4 shows the battery end and A5 shows the block/waterpump end. I would expect the cable to be free formed between the terminations or they would have shown a clamp or tie in a detail dwg.

It's different since you have AC (positive's against the fender (C60-E2) and neg goes to AC compressor). And different again if you have the HD Battery option where the pigtail on the negative is different, see UPC T60-A1.

RPO C60 E2 "NOTE Balance of asm is same as reg. prod."

In other words, where you see the NEG cable grounding to the A/C comp bracket, the rest is the same as regular production. ie UPC12 A4.

I think it's safe to say that the terminal and pigtail is as per UPC12 A4 with the V8 right-rear POS battery, and the grounding as per C60-E2.
