Re: horn does not shut off

Sounds like a short. I'd start at the horn button on the steering wheel.

Re: horn does not shut off

alright i have two horn buttons replaced at the junkyard with black plastic piece that goes into hole that has connection to the air bag hockey puck[?] .1. put a ohm meter on the connections of the push buttons the red and black wires and i have a connection meaning the meter shows a reading. know this is with no horns hooked up don't know if that matters? but i was under the impression that there is no complete circuit until the horn button is pressed ? am i wrong here?

That would be correct.... unless there's a short...somewhere.

Re: horn does not shut off

There will be a complete path through the relay coil, although the resistance will be more than a dead short.

Re: horn does not shut off

o.k. would anyone know where the horn relay switch would be and could this be causing the short ? i guess my only chance is too trace the wires from the horns back ? and i'm not sure if the wire colors will stay the same at the bottom of the steering column?

Re: horn does not shut off

I don't own a 95, but I'd presume the horn relay is located in an under-hood fuse block. Check your owners manual. As far as wire colors go, you'll need a schematic for your vehicle.
