Short finding

sorry guys i've never tackled to much electrical car wise, i try if you got a couple of minutes if it won't take longer could you answer a question.1. is it easy to explain{?] finding a short .2. i would say that a negative is getting power somewhere,or part broke in a open position?
3. a bad ground? [all of the above]
4.went to the library saw wiring for 86 camaro looks like the horn relay is near the hazard relay . looks like a relay is those black sqaure i would call fuses?
5. sorry for the stupid ?s
