69 camaro stock tach and msd box

Hi hoping someone here has done this. i see in the msd boxinstructions some notes on stock tach usage and msd box. what exactly needs to be done to make stock (repo) in dash tach function with msd?
Any way to retain the stock wire at the coil for tach?
car has all new repo wiring harness and would like wiring to look stock with msd hidden.
also the yellow wire which goes from coil down to starter does that remain?

I called msd but they are a little vague "gm is gm" kind of answers.
ive run msds in a few other cars but did specific wiring and aftermarket tachs on them, i dont want a fried tach if i can help it.

MSD's tach adapter would work with original wire. Hook it up according to MSD's instruction.

Yellow wire from starter is to provide a full 12 volts to ignition coil when starting a points ignition system. You may not need it hooked up if you have 12 volts at "RUN" igniton wire during start position of ignition switch.
