Dave, our moderator didn't leave. He was uncerimoniously dumped, without notice or prior comunication.

JimM

I admit I was trying to choose words that wouldn't create a stir - "left" came to mind.

I'll poke around and find a mod - I thought that was a link on the forum page, and presume the roll is unfulfilled.

BTW: Jim, I and others (I'm certain) think you have done a fine job as a Moderator and hate to see you upset over the goings on. There isn't much more I can say other than don't get too worked up over it. You still have your personal dignity and respect from those who know you. Take care bud. Here's hoping you find some inner peace

Dave, I'm certainly not going anywhere, and I'm certainly not dead or anything. I'm not mad at anyone and I never lost my inner peace.

I've been a member of Camaros.net for 11 years and twenty two thousand and change posts. I've helped thousands of car guys, and I've recieved help that has enabled me to paint my own car, install a TKO trans, roller cam, even realize a long time dream of learning to weld.

And on top of that I made thousands of acquantances and dozens of real flesh and blood friends.

I was one of 10 or so guys selected to moderate this board, a task I was honored to accept and one that I performed to my best ability for 4 years.

While I don't understand why our new corporate advertising owners chose to dump me from that volunteer position without cause or warning, at least they haven't thrown me out completely, and hopefully i'll not give them a reason to do so.

So I'll keep contributing here as I always have, while at the same time building a new site, a community of friends who share an interest in these fabulous old cars. Waht's that you say, that sounds just like THIS place? well ya, it does, but so do a hundred other camaro boards, a thousand GM boards, and probably a zillion if you count fords and ricers and such. And Autoforums owns 200 of them, so I'm not sure why they would worry.
