Where does the Half-Moon steering connector go? (Restoration)

Hi, I completly stripper my cars a couple years ago, and, of course, i forgot a couple of things...
Under the dash, there is the steering column connector which looks like half-a-circle.
I plugged it, works well, but looks dumb because i don't know where to hook this connector...
For the moment, it just hangs itself in the air, but I would like to know where it should clip... I tried everything i could and also used the search feature on this forum with no success... Any picture could help or a clear description...
thanks in advance everyone!

the clip attaches to the left hand steering coulmn support rod. It's a round rod that is flattened at both ends. It's pictured in the assembly maunual.
