Last wire to figure out!!! See pic.

I labeled all my wires and for some reason the label must have fallen off this wire. See the pic below...sorry about the quality. The wire is yellow and has a black box-shaped female connector on the end. It exits the dash wire harness at the same place as the heater control wires. I am 90% it is the radio wire, but want to make sure. Also, it has a factory metal clip attached to it.

Thanks!!!

Re: Last wire to figure out!!! See pic.

do you have the AIM with the wiring diagrams? I see 2 yellows, one single yellow goes to low fuel module in a console car. The radio is a yellow and black wire together in a black female plug.
You need to have the diagram so you dont use the wrong wire in the wrong place and produce a short. Also, for folks that have not seen your posts before, what car? what year? what tranny etc. wiring changes depending on alot of that info.

That clip looks like the e-brake cable clip, but that wire has a round terminal.

looks like it might be the wire that runs to the glove box courtesy light (if the car was so equipped...

If you think it's the radio wire, probe it with a circuit tester, then pull the fuse for the radio and test agai...

glove box light wire is Orange... the diagram above shows all the wires in 68-69 but probably good in 67 too.

It wouldnt go to the console, those wires are all in the main harness that plugs into the guage package.

Yellow is typically the Radio power wire.

Re: Last wire to figure out!!! See pic.

Sorry for the lack of info. I have a 67 RS 4spd.

Yes, I have the wiring diagrams. The proplem with the diagrams is it does not show options. I have the yellow low fuel wire already located. It is not yellow and black. It looks exactly like the low fuel wire all yellow. The wire exits the harness like it would go to the console, radio, heater controls, etc. I have all the wires to the console.

it is not the e-brake or the glove box wire.

The car originally had a rear defrost...I wonder if it is the lead to that???

Re: Last wire to figure out!!! See pic.

the 1967 wiring diagram shows a single yellow for 1967 for the radio the 1969 shows yellow and black together . do like Jonesy said and check to see if it runs to the radio fuse .
