Help with 67 Firebird

Hoping someone here can help. A friend of mine is putting together a 1967 Firebird 400 with 4 speed. It is an original 4 speed car but there is no hole in the firewall where the reverse switch harness would go like on the Camaro. Does anyone know if the Firebird reverse switch harness was set up the same as the 67 Camaro. I just find it odd that there is no hole there for it when it is an original 4 speed car. Could Pontiac have brought that harness in somewhere else?

Is there not a two prong plug on the firewall just behind the dizzy?

Re: Help with 67 Firebird

Here is a pic of the reverse harness on a 67 Camaro. Would the 67 Pontiac Firebird be in the same location with the same harness?

I left a post for you over on the first gen firebird site. SOmeone there may have the answer for you before I can get home and look at my manuals. My 'Bird was originaly a two speed car and the harness connected to the shifter. They may have done something similar with the 4-speeds.
