My 68 just arrived in Australia, need some help with the engine wiring harness. The car has a new engine wiring harness but the dark blue wire is missing from the harness (Oil Pressure Switch). I have a wiring diagram but it does not show which terminal on the firewall plug it is ment to go in. Any help would be great.
Hopefully the second diagram will help you Tim.
Trouble is (if your car is like mine was) many people seem to add bits of wire of various colours over the years and that makes it just that little bit harder to figure out wiring issues.
Don't want to scare you but I ended up rewiring the whole car.
tim i took some photos for you the dash oil light wire is the blue wire to the left and another photo of the oil sender switch and oil pressure gauge sender im in toowoomba queensland
the problem is from the firewall forward the wiring is all new but the wrong engine harness has been installed during the restoration, the harness is for a 68 console car (capillary gauge i think). i will open the harness up and ad the dark blue wire so i can at least get the warning light to work whist i wait for new harness to arrive.
