69 Engine Harness

Have a 69 Vert and need to see if someone has a schematic of the harness that is in the gutter on firewall.(Have two plugs go to Windshield washer one wire to heater blower and one wire to starter) but have a few that are just dead ended.

Re: 69 Engine Harness

That harness also has the oil sender, coil wire (resistor wire and 12v from starter) and the starter soleniod wire. The wiring diagrams are in the AIM, do you have one?

Re: 69 Engine Harness

Here is a link to the engine bay wiring diagram. Could also be A/C wires, blower wires... need to know wire colors and sizes.

Re: 69 Engine Harness

No bad on me dont have a AIM.....

Only have one wire(Yellow) to the front plug on wiper should there be 2?

3 wires to the rear plug on the wiper motor

The 3 wires(Blue/Blue/white) pulled to the right(ignore red one) are dead ended and go know where
Purple wire to Starte
Orange wire to blower motor

Re: 69 Engine Harness

The AIM shows a dark blue going to the oil pressure sender, and another dark blue and a white going to the alternator.

Re: 69 Engine Harness

White cloth is resistor, there should be a big loop inside the harness back to the + of the coil. 12 purple: starter soleniod, 14 orange: heater motor, 18 black: wiper motor (single plug), 18 light blue and yellow: wiper motor and pump (double plugs), 20 dark blue: oil sender.

That brownish plug with black/yellow wire is the blue wire right below it?

Re: 69 Engine Harness

Yeah, sorry, I zoomed in too close. The dark blue goes into the same plug on the front as the black/yellow.

Re: 69 Engine Harness

If you need the wiring diagrams for the '69, look in my webshots albums listed in my signature.

Good luck,
john
