Autozone Voltage Regulator?

I am ordering a new engine and front light wiring harnesses and was going to replace the voltage regulator while i'm at it. I came across one from Autozone (Duralast #VR715) for only $16.99 verses the NPD replacement at $60. The Duralast seems to have the same specs of Exc. 62 Amp. Alt. It looks pretty much the same.

I guess my question is will it work or should I go with the NPD replacement?

Thanks,

John

Re: Autozone Voltage Regulator?

I've had mine in from Autozone for a few years and works great! No problems. A little less thick in size.

What is the difference? Will I have any issues with the alt? Thanks

Thank you, I will go with that one. Just want to make sure, it's just plug right in and I should not have any issues, correct?

Thanks again,

John

Re: Autozone Voltage Regulator?

Only trick make sure it's grounded, this goes with any regulator.

Also, aren't you the one who started the BBC thread? My new BBC came in a few weeks ago (454/475hp) getting it ready now. Hoping to have on the road in a few weeks. I will post on that thread once completed!!

Thanks,
