Yellow wire from the regulator???

1967 camaro 6 banger all orig.
Yellow wire hanging from the reg?
Where does she got to?
The gen light is on the dash?

Look at the drawing in the above thread. The original wire was white but might look yellow with age. It's yellow on the drawing so you can see it against the white background.

OE wire?
If a U shaped terminal, I would think it would go to the buss bar.
If a slip-on terminal, might piggy back to another terminal.

Aftermarket alarm button/switch?

ok, it was a aftermarket wire going to the horn, someone hooked up a horn button?..it was running under the reg going to the horn..my bad it looked at first glance like it was coming out of the reg?? duh!!??..gen light still on, ill check to see if its charging?

Thank you, Bill. If GEN light still on, VR is not sending out battery voltage to other side of light bulb to turn it off as IGN supplys other side of bulb. Battery voltage on both sides of bulb, light out.
Need a new reg or wiring problem or relay in mech reg stuck closed, may need a little pry to open contacts, open contact set and burnish points with emery paper.

thanks big "E"..i will check it right after she rolls in tomorrow morning, right after i do the photo shoot of course!!..can you send me your email so i can send you the pics to host for me?..all the wires look to be in place and not broken or missing..
