Stereo Noise

I installed a new stereo and speakers in my 69 Camaro. It worked great for a few weeks, then I started getting engine noise and cracking sounds. Besides checking the ground connection and possibly adding a noise filter, does anybody have any other ideas?
Thanks

Re: Stereo Noise

What kind of stereo are you using? does it have a separate CD changer? or all in one?

What ignition system are you using? MSD? stock?

Check you wiring connections...
I have never been a fan of using supressors for car electicals
I take the view if the radio/sterio picks something up that is an early wraning sign something is wearing out or breaking down
