Check all your lighting grounds, do not forget front parking light grounds, sounds like a feedback.

My 68 did that in 71, my boss a tad me put a turn switch it it, didn't help, talked to a old man, touched one ground wire, 30 seconds, fixed, wasted 50 dollars and a day.

Re: Brake pedal lights left turn signal? Suggestions?

Again appreciate you chimin in. I'll be honest, I don't know a ground wire from a hot one. I checked all the wiring and it's secure and screwed down (where applicable). The parking lights come on when I turn my lights on, as they should. The trun signals work in both directions. It's just when I push the brake pedal, the rear brakes lights work fine but the left front turn signal light comes on and the left trun signal on the speedo comes on. Both go off when you let off the pedal so it's obviously connected. Would you have any specific things wires, I should check? I assume it can't be anything much but I'd sure like to find and fix it.....

Thanks again John....

Push up, towards the dash, slightly on the turn signal lever. Could be the t/sig switch is worn out.
As John suggested, check the ground wire at the front parking light, the black wire coming out of the socket and is bolted to the radiator support. Remove ground and wire brush both the terminal and rad support. Reassemble.

Re: Brake pedal lights left turn signal? Suggestions?

Thanks Everett. Pushing up is the right turn signal, it's the left that comes on when brake pedal is pressed. Am I missing something? What should I expect to happen, or not happen? Appreciate your help...

The brake switch wire does route into the turn signal switch harness connector... Maybe a short in that area?

You're not to push it up to rt turn, just push gently up on the handle within its center/off position. Also, pull up on the handle, as in pull gently towards the steering wheel.

Brake light power does go through the t/sig switch.
