Question Cross-referencing bulb part number 631 - courtesy lamp

I'm trying to find the bulb #631 for the two courtesy lights under the dash. I can't find the bulbs, so I'm trying to cross-reference that number.
Anyone know what fits those two sockets?

Joe check out this link. This is the #631 bulb and it has free shipping. I need the same bulb plus the #90 bulbs for my sail panels.

Re: Cross-referencing bulb part number 631 - courtesy lamp

Yeah, I saw that. But I don't need $50 worth of bulbs. I guess I'll get them online if I don't replace the sockets with something I can put an off-the-shelf bulb in instead.
But I guess it's cheaper to just buy the 631's.

Thanks Roger

Sorry Joe I didn't see the minimum order of $50.00.

Joe, I used 1155 in the courtesy lamps under the dash of my 67 vert. Seems to be fine. Auto parts store said they are the same base as 1156, but lower power.

Hmmmm..... those 1156's are tail lamp bulbs. I didn't figure courtesy lights to be that large. Don't they hang down awfully far, kind of close to your leg? I've got tons of 1156 and 1157's.... I'll give the 55's a try.
Thanks Wilson.

Re: Cross-referencing bulb part number 631 - courtesy lamp

Joe like I said earlier I also need this #631 bulb. I couldn't find it too and I couldn't find the 1155 bulb either. What I did find and will use is the bulb #97. To specs. of the two bulbs are very close. Also if you need the #90 bulb for the sail panel lights, I had no problem finding them.

Re: Cross-referencing bulb part number 631 - courtesy lamp

I know. So did I.
Can't see buying something as unimportant and inexpensive as a bulb online. I want to be able to run up to the corner and pay $1.29 but I can't find them around here.
A suitable substitute will work just fine.
