Re: up grading 67 to elect windows and locks

I installed a hybrid E-L/factory PW setup in my '67 a few months ago using E-L lifts but GM wiring and switches. The rear windows operate at the normal factory speed, but the fronts are a little zippy. Plan on reparing the roller/guide on at least two windows.

The dimples are in the lower door jams. Look carefully or use your fingertips to locate them (they're there) and then use a hole saw per the size of your jamb boots. You will be removing the kick and door panels, so you get to locate the dimples from both sides of the jambs if necessary.

Know anyone with the same year that has electric windows/locks?
If I were you I would look at another car for comparison/measurement

No power windows but I did install an alarm, and installed power locks w/ remote. As said, the dimples are on the doors between hinges, at least they are on the '69's.

Re: up grading 67 to elect windows and locks

Tony do it in 2 steps. First get the lock circuit installed and tested, then tie the alarm into the circuit.
I installed locks and alarm with remote entry in my Nova. The wiring will be dependent on the type of lock actuator the system uses. GM used 2 different styles, after market is different too. Mine are actuated through a polarity reversing relay so it is a little more complicated than a standard GM system (originally from an 82 Eldorado). My El Camino had an after market system that actuated by using the manual door lock knob so no additional switch was needed.

What brand of locks and alarm are you installing?

Good products and easy to install, are you using the 95125 remote entry with alarm?
